About Hughes Xerographic:

      In 1970, Mike and Nancy Hughes were just starting their careers and starting to raise two young children. Up until then, they had relied on a strong work ethic and excellent customer relations to propel them along in their budding careers. A decision was made that year to grab a hold of that entrepreneurial spirit that they had and to open up their own business. A small storefront selling basic office supplies was established in a garage in Shadyside, OH and they threw all of their efforts into making a go of this new venture. Fast forward 15 years to 1985 and the business is a rousing success. The Upper Ohio Valley had come to count on Hughes to deliver quality products, at a competitive price, and in a very timely fashion. The strong work ethic and excellent customer relations had become a cornerstone of the business and the two sons were now "learning the ropes". The business had grown many times and had forced the family to move to increasingly larger buildings. By 1985, business was conducted out of a 10,000 square foot warehouse utilizing a fleet of four "Box Vans" and having employment of 25 people. This caught the eye of the Xerox Corp. Xerox was starting a new channel of distribution for its products. This channel would be made up of primarily Office Products Dealerships throughout the country who had existing business relationships within the community and the Hughes family fit that model perfectly. In 1985, Hughes became an Authorized Xerox Agent. Over the past couple of decades, Xerox and Hughes have seen numerous changes. The Hughes family decided to focus solely on the Xerox side of the business and shut down the Office Supply division in 1992. The parents retired and now sons Joe & Adam Hughes are running the business. There have been extra layers of distribution established in Xerox that Hughes has entered into that has allowed us to expand our geographic coverage to 16 counties in the Tri-state area. We have also added a Service Department and a Networking Division. We are striving to be the one-stop need for your Office Products. From installation to the networking to the toners and inks, we have all of the bases covered with one phone call. The future looks bright for Hughes and for Xerox. New programs are being introduced that we are very excited about and hope to provide to everyone.
